How do you protect your car’s delicate exterior finish during the rainy season? Every car owner knows that rain water can cause considerable damage to the vehicle’s finish, especially when left unattended for extended periods of time. Wax your car at the beginning of spring. Water marks are one of the most obvious concerns car owners have during the rainy season. Avoid this problem by dusting and waxing your car before the rain. This natural phenomenon, which is commonly known as ‘acid rain’, may cause permanent and irreparable damage to your car’s finish, especially if you usually leave your car exposed the rain without proper protection for extended periods of time. When this happens, your only recourse may be to have your car repainted, which can be a costly affair. So, get into the habit of washing your car after the rain. If you don’t have the time or the energy to do it, take your car to a professional car wash. Also, make sure that the area around the inside of the door and trunk and the area where a power antenna is mounted to your car is thoroughly dry to eliminate or reduce the risk of corrosion.
