Motorsports Cover Installation Guide
IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO READ BEFORE USE
Surface Condition
The surface must be clean, completely dry, and free of wax, polish, sealant, or chemical residue before installation. Installing on a wet or recently treated surface may cause staining or damage. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage due to improper installation or surface condition.
Cover Usage
Allow your motorcycle to cool completely before installing the cover. Hot engine, muffler, exhaust, or other heated components can cause burns and damage the cover. The cover includes a heat resistant liner as a safety precaution, but it is not designed for direct contact with extremely hot parts. Avoid placing the cover directly on the ground during storage, shake off dust before folding, clean regularly, and allow the cover and lining to air dry after heavy rain to prevent moisture buildup.
Trailering
Always secure and tighten all straps when transporting your motorsports on a trailer or open vehicle. Failure to do so may result in damage to the cover or vehicle, and the cover could come loose and cause injury. Do not exceed 65 mph during transport.
Installation
All Seal Skin Motorsports Covers are rolled and packaged with the front end facing outward. The “FRONT” tag is sewn into the inside hem of the cover.
Step 1
Ensure your motorsport is clean and free of dust or dirt before installation. Remove the cover from the carrying case and place it on top of the motorsport with the front of the cover facing the front, keeping it off the ground.
Step 2
Starting from the rear, slowly unroll the cover down the center and over the rear. Continue unrolling toward the front while working down both sides. Adjust the cover as needed to ensure the entire motorsport is properly covered.
Step 3
Pull the front edge underneath the front bumper, then use the cable lock system underneath the motorsport to secure the cover in place. Adjust the cover and straps as needed to ensure a secure fit.
Note | This installation process applies to Motorcycle , Scooters , ATV & UTV
Cable Lock
For added security, your Seal Skin Motorsports Cover includes a cable and lock system designed to help deter theft and keep the cover securely in place during windy conditions.
- Thread the cable through the grommets or reinforced loops located along the bottom hem of the cover, ensuring it passes through each one for maximum security.
- Position the lock in a location that is not easily accessible, such as under the vehicle or near the ground.
- Secure the lock firmly. If using a combination lock, set your preferred code. If using a key lock, store the key in a safe place.
