Vehicle Cover Installation Guide

IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO READ BEFORE USE

Surface Condition

The surface must be clean, completely dry, and free of wax, polish, sealant, or chemical residue before installation. Installing on a wet or recently treated surface may cause staining or damage. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage due to improper installation or surface condition.

High Wind Areas

Use the straps and buckle clips, or the cable-and-lock system beneath your vehicle, to properly secure the cover. Make sure it is tight and does not move or get blown around, adjusting as needed.

Freezing Conditions

If the cover freezes to the car, DO NOT pull it off. Pour warm water over the surface and remove slowly. Stop immediately if resistance occurs.

Antenna

No modification is needed for small shark fin antennas. For whip or wire antennas, unscrew them before installing the cover. If removal isn’t possible, a free antenna patch kit is included.

Installation

All Seal Skin Car Covers are rolled and packaged with the front end facing outward. The “FRONT” tag is sewn into the inside hem of the cover.

Step 1

Place the cover on the front of your vehicle, keeping it off the ground. Align the label marked “FRONT” with the front of the vehicle. We recommend starting from the rear of your vehicle for easier positioning.

Step 2

Unroll the cover down the center toward the back, ensuring the edges extend under the rear bumper. Roll the front portion toward the hood while unrolling the sides evenly as you move forward. Repeat on the opposite side.

Step 3

Tuck the front edge securely under the front bumper and adjust the cover as needed to ensure full, even coverage around the entire vehicle.

Note | This installation process applies to Cars, SUVs, Trucks, and Vans.

Cable Lock

For added security, your Seal Skin Car Cover includes a cable and lock system designed to help deter theft and keep the cover securely in place during windy conditions.

  • Thread the cable through the grommets or reinforced loops located along the bottom hem of the cover, ensuring it passes through each one for maximum security.
  • Position the lock in a location that is not easily accessible, such as under the vehicle or near the ground.
  • Secure the lock firmly. If using a combination lock, set your preferred code. If using a key lock, store the key in a safe place.
